You start every day thinking today will be the day you tackle that to-do list that has been growing day after day. You have a goal in mind and you are determined to reach it. You are dedicated, you show up for others and devote yourself to everything that you do but it feels like you don’t do enough. You feel like you take 1 step forward and then 2 steps back. You feel pressure from your friends, family, and partner who think you have it “all together” but inside you are no where what you thought you would be at this time in your life.

Maybe you have been told by a spouse, a relative, a friend or colleague that you “should think about talking to someone” or “you shouldn’t feel this way”. Maybe there are changes that you want to make yet it feels overwhelming. You don’t know where to start, but the racing thoughts continue and are impacting your relationship, your friendships, your day to day responsibilities. You feel constantly on edge, tense, stressed, anxious. You are at a crossroad in your life, stuck between where you would like to be and where you are today. You question who you are, what you want, who you want to be.

I will let you in on a little secret …. No one really has this “adult thing” figured out… we are all a work in progress… you are not alone and most importantly, I can help you!!  I work with adolescents, young adults and middle aged adults who feel lost and find themselves wondering how to “get it right”. Together we will spend time reflecting on some of your core values, beliefs, thoughts and behavior patterns. We will work collaboratively in a welcoming, warm and supportive environment.

Here are my credentials:

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of New Jersey and received my Masters of Arts and Education Specialist Degree in Professional Counseling from Seton Hall University in 2013. I am a member of the National Board of Certified Counselors and an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) for licensed associate counselors seeking licensure in NJ.

I began my career as a therapist on an acute care unit at the only free standing psychiatric inpatient hospital in New Jersey where I provided emotional support and crisis stabilization in a safe therapeutic environment. There I  worked with children, adolescents, and adults in an individual and group setting to assess psychiatric needs, identify life stressors, develop a discharge plan, and prevent relapse.

I then transitioned to a community mental health agency where I worked with adults providing wrap around in-community therapy and support. I utilize an individualized and strength based approach with teens and adults struggling with anxiety, mood, and psychotic disorders to promote independence and develop coping skills/techniques to manage stressors in the their lives. I works with adolescents and adults ages 15 and up.

Therapy doesn´t have to be scary.
